Chinese regulators have blocked the sale of technology giant Tencent’s latest blockbuster video game Monster Hunter: World, less than a week after it was launched.

The game, in which players hunt increasingly fearsome creatures, has been pulled off Tencent’s WeGame distribution platform.

Tencent ‘s move followed a large number of complaints that some content does not meet Chinese regulatory requirements.
