LG Australia has further expanded its ThinQ smart home range, debuting its new ‘WH’ series of Wi-Fi enabled split system air conditioners with smartphone app control.

As summer edges closer, the new range allows Aussies to set temperature settings via the ThinQ smartphone app, forgoing the need to look for a remote control.

The app enables users to turn on the air-conditioner remotely, providing a cool home upon entry.

LG’s ‘Smart ThinQ app’ claims to provide real-time weekly and monthly energy usage updates, including sending alerts when consumption hits a pre-set limit.

With three levels of power reduction, the unit allows users to cap energy consumption via its ‘active energy control’ feature.

LG’s new ‘WH’ air cons incorporate Plasmaster Ioniser Plus and Autocleaning, which claim to deodorise and sterilise over 99% of air bacteria.

In addition to temperature regulation, the units pledge to keep household air efficiently clean.
