JB Hi-Fi has taken on the likes of Kogan and ALDI Mobile, launching its new range of SIM-only mobile plans which are exclusively available in-store.

Running on Telstra’s 3G and 4G network, the retailer has confirmed two BYO plans, which will offer significant discounts off some in-store products.

• 12 month $45 BYO Plan – 25GB + unlimited local talk and text
• 24 month $65 BYO Plan – 45GB + unlimited local talk and text

The $45 plan will accompany a $200 in-store gift card, whilst the $65 plan will offer a $300 discount off phones under $999, or $500 off a handset over $999.

E.g. iPhone XS (265GB) reduced to $1,379, or iPhone XS Max for $1,549.

For consumers who prefer to buy phones outright, the deals offer notable value for money, and launch prior to a flurry of new phone releases in October (e.g. Google, Huawei).

The deals are available in-store only, are require customer ID checks.

Each plan provides free use of Telstra’s Air Wi-Fi hotspots, coupled with data-free music streaming from Apple Music.
