Apple Australia has begun offering its Business Chat service to Australian outfits that are looking to reach customers via their iOS devices.

Business Chat is said to integrate with the built-in Messages app on iPhones and iPads, allowing consumers to easily contact companies.

Customers with inquiries simply tap a Messages icon in the apps to start conversations with companies they are looking up.

Telstra has begun trialling Business Chat on a small scale. “While it’s early days, customer response has been positive,” a spokesman told IT News.
