Digital fraud threats are growing in frequency and impacting more customer engagement channels, according to RSA Security, a provider of business security systems
According to RSA’s Q3 2018 Fraud Report, phishing continues to dominate the digital fraud environment, accounting for more than 50pc of fraud attack types globally.
Mobile application and mobile browser transactions now make up 73pc of overall fraud transactions globally, up 27 per cent over the same period in 2017.
“Vishing”, or voice phishing, is an increasingly common form of phishing attack in which fraudsters use the telephone to misrepresent their affiliation or authority.
The report reveals an increase in new vishing called “reverse vishing,” where the victim will call up the fraudster.
