Market research firm, Roy Morgan, has announced Australia’s best performing retailers in terms of customer satisfaction, with IKEA awarded ‘Furniture/Electrical Store of the Year’ for the first time in 2018.
The Swedish giant has continued to edge ahead of local rivals, JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman, after tipping the scales in June last year.
Roy Morgan’s customer satisfaction awards crowned several other first-time winners including Kmart (Discount Department Store of the Year) and Optus (Home Phone Provider of the Year).

Chief Executive, Michele Levine, asserts its customer satisfaction awards are the benchmark measurement across Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia.
“Reliable, accurate and totally objective, the Australian awards reflect the experiences of some 50,000 consumers, as aggregated in our Single Source survey over 12 months,” remarks Levine.
