Cog no, not the Australian rock band but a recently arrived Australian security software outfit ­ has snared a deal that will see its security software embedded in global chipmaking giant Qualcomm’s chips.

The deal – value so far not revealed – will see Cog’s technology, dubbed D4 Secure, embedded in all of Qualcomm’s mobile chips.

Cog, based in Sydney, recently raised $3.5 million from Mike Cannon-Brookes’ Grok Ventures and Melbourne-based venture capital company Rampersand.
