Valve promises to shake up the virtual reality (VR) market via a teaser site featuring a brand-new Valve Index device that appears to be Valve’s own device rather than a joint venture with HTC.

The Valve Index tips as many as four prominent wide-angle cameras, strongly suggesting that, like the Oculus Quest and other second-gen VR headsets, it will have inside-out tracking to allow players to move around a room, regardless of where base stations are placed.
