German supermarket giant, ALDI, has taken on the likes of Kogan.com and The Good Guys, with the release of an ultra budget friendly 4.5kg clothes dryer for $199, with a three year warranty.

Accompanied by ALDI’s usual “limited stocks in store” disclaimer, the dryer will go on sale on Saturday April 13 as part of its next ‘Special Buys’ sale.

The dryer features three drying options and is also wall mountable.

With a two star energy rating, the appliance measures a stainless steel inner drum and measures; 700mm(H) x 600mm(W) x 465mm(D).

ALDI has used its Saturday 13 Special Buys sale to showcase a slew of other laundry items including a 7kg top load washing machine ($349), steam iron with LCD display ($39.99), handheld steam cleaner ($34.99) and handheld garment steamer ($34.99).
