New images leaked online purport to show the Google Pixel 4 will have a large “forehead’ bezel, in contrast to recent trends toward full screen devices.
The images come from Twitter account Ice Universe, a prolific smartphone leaker.
Previous renders of the phone leaked online last month, prompting Google to release its own images showing the back, but not the front of the phone.![]()
The newly leaked images show a strip along the top of the phone’s display panel that is expected to house front-facing cameras and sensors, eschewing the notch, holepunch or waterdrop style increasingly found on full-screen devices.
One of the sensors to be housed in the top bezel is believed to relate to Google’s Project Soli motion detection technology for touch-free gesture support.
The Pixel 4 is expected to launch around October this year.
