Smart camera company Arlo has finally added support for Apple Homekit, but strangely not on its top of the range models.

Support for Apple’s home automation platform has been added in the latest firmware update for the Pro and Pro 2 cameras on VMB4000/4500 base stations, but support for the Ultra 4K and its VMB5000 base station is yet to be added.

Apple Homekit allows users to control the cameras without using the Arlo app or remote via Siri or the Apple Home App, and users can also use the cameras for other automation tasks such as motion activated lighting.

The upcoming iOS13 is expected to include several new features for Homekit.
