Specialist Amazon-focused marketing agency, Podean, has officially landed in Australia, appointing former IPG Mediabrands’ executive, Ashley Wales-Brown, its local Managing Director.

The news comes after Amazon launched its advertising service down under in April, offering targeted brand marketing via shopper insights.

Podean claims the opportunity for Australian advertisers and sellers via Amazon is significant.

The agency will offer a variety of client services including direct management of a brand’s retail and/or advertising, helping clients build Amazon capabilities, plus helping media companies build marketplace-based products and services.

Overall, Podean aims to offer clients more than just running a search campaign and adding images/text to a listing.

“You need a partner that can help you with all the retail readiness, holistic strategy, and using unique tools – and that’s what Podean brings to Australia,” claims Podean Founder, Mark Power.

“Having our HQ sitting alongside Amazon’s advertising center in New York gives our Australian clients an advantage no other agency can claim.”

Podean asserts its Australian roll-out is the beginning of further international expansion.
