SAN FRANCISCO: Social distancing and the work from home movement saw Slack Technologies Q1 revenue boosted on strong demand for its workplace messaging app.

Companies have had to rapidly adapt to remote work as they try to avoid an outbreak of coronavirus at office environments around the world.

Revenue at Slack rose 50 percent to US$201.7 million from a year earlier. However, the company withdrew its forecast for calculated billings in fiscal 2021.
