The smarter the phone, the more heat that is generated.

Samsung have tasked its suppliers with developing vapour chamber cooling for its next range of smartphones, according to reports by GizmoChina.

Samsung used this cooling solution in the Galaxy S20 and Note 20, but dropped the technology in more recent products.

A flat, vacuum-sealed, metallic canister vaporises the generated heat, lowering the phone temperature quicker than thermal pads and heat sinks used in other products.

Expect to see this technology in Samsung’s 2022 range of smartphones.
