In an exciting first, Samsung are bringing a 108MP camera to their mid-tier Galaxy A series, with the A73 model set for release next year.

This is part of the company’s push to add muscle to the mid-tier range to go against rivals like Xiaomi.

In a further enhancement, the camera will also be packing OIS – Optical Image Stabilisation.

The current A72, released this year, had a 64MP camera that also came with OIS and a quad-cam setup.

Samsung already featured a 108MP camera on their Galaxy S21 earlier this year, and the further rollout of OIS through the Galaxy A series is seen as a way for them to boost sales that slowed due to a shortage of application processors.
