Sony Slash Xperia Tab RRPSony looks to boost Christmas tab sales by chopping the price of world’s slimmest tablet.

Sony’s Xperia Tablet Z – the world’s slimmest tablet – has a new slimmed down price of $499 for a 16Gb model, down from $539. 
The 10.1 inch Android 4.1 OS tablet weighs in at 495g, 100g lighter than most 10.1-inch tablets, it has quad core processor, and is water resistant with 2 X HD cameras. 

The 32GB Wifi version (SGP312) is now $70 cheaper at $579 + Sony are throwing in bonus NFC Sony Bluetooth headphones (DRBTN200B).


The price cut only lasts until 31 January 2014.
Sony has also slashed the price of the 4G Xperia Z (SGP321) with 16GB memory to $649.
Sony also offering another sweetner to Xperia tab buyers – bonus $200 worth of Sony Entertainment Network content, including Music Unlimited subscription; 6 x movie downloads; and Playstation Mobile game downloads, until 31 December. 
The waterproof tablet is available through all electronics retailers and via Sony Centres, Sony Kiosks and online.
