The latest iteration of Samsung’s premiere smartwatch is set to be launched at the upcoming IFA conference in Berlin, if rumours are to be believed.

According to Russian technology journalist Eldar Murtazin, the device will be launched on September 1st alongside the new Galaxy Tab S3.

Samsung is set to reveal their new Note 7 this week at an event in New York.

Previous years have seen the company reveal major tech products at IFA, it’s unknown if the close proximity of the New York event will cannibalise on that.

In any case, Samsung’s last smartwatch effort -The Gear S2 – was very well-received and it’ll be interesting to see what the South Korean innovators plan to build on that success.

Like the S2, it’s expected that Samsung will release a mainstream consumer level version of the device this year and a luxury-grade offering early next year.
