With only days until a rumoured refresh of the Mac is set to be revealed, it’s been revealed that the same vulnerability used by an Israeli security firm to spy on journalists and activists exists within Apple’s Mac OS.

The vulnerability enabled someone to seize control over a device through a single insecure web-link.

Apple fast-tracked a hotfix for the security flaw last week and has today rolled the same fix out to their Safari web browser, OSX Yosemite and OSX El Capitan.

They encourage all users to install the updates as soon as possible.
