Apple has filed a lawsuit against Mobile Star over counterfeit products the New Jersey-based company sold over Amazon.

According to Apple, Mobile Star imprinted Apple logos on cables, chargers and other accessories in order to market and sell them off as genuine Apple products.

Apple says these products “pose a significant risk of overheating, fire, and electrical shock” to legitimate Apple customers.

In order to verify their origins, Apple says it purchased a number of ‘genuine’ Apple accessories and Amazon. After finding that 90% of these accesories were fraudulent, the company reached out to Amazon, who identified Mobile Star as the company responsible.

Amazon isn’t named in the suit, but has made clear that they have zero tolerance for counterfeiters in a statement.
