According to Korean publication JoongAng Ilbo, Samsung will shed some light on the dramatic overheating problems that proved fatal for their Galaxy Note7 handset later this month.

Reports say as a result of their efforts the tech giant will have firm details to share concerning the exact cause of the Note7’s battery problems as soon as this month.

Samsung is said to have been seriously investigating the matter since October, when it first-recalled and then later discontinued the smartphone.

A company spokesperson previously told that while Samsung is cooperating with the Korean they “have been mobilizing all possible resources to find the exact cause of the problems as soon as possible.”

Samsung has yet to comment officially on the matter.
