ALDI have announced a new data plan for their ALDI Mobile service that takes the data-hungry habits of modern smartphone users into account – and then some.

The supermarket player is now offering a limited edition 1 Year Super Pack which nets users 42GB of data, unlimited standard national calls, text messages and MMS to be used over the period of a year.

Called the ALDImobile’s 1 Year Super Pac, it’s available for an up-front fee of $249.

According to an ALDI spokesperson, the new plan will “be another drawcard for people who are considering switching mobile providers, or for those keen to discover the benefits ALDImobile can bring to their wallets and their lifestyles.”

“The idea of the 1 Year Super Pack is to give Australians the option to have their mobile phone cost sorted at the lowest price and forget about it for 365 days,” they said.

To better represent how much data you’re getting here, the company says that users will be able to “stream the complete seasons of Narcos, Stranger Things and The Crown and still have data left to watch a Star Wars movie.”

The 1 Year Superpack  will be available in-store on Saturday 4th February while stocks last.
