Google’s Android Nougat OS has continued to grow strongly over into the new year.

According to data released by Google, it now accounts for approximately 1.1% of total active Android devices.

It’s a trend that marks significant growth on December’s 0.4% that demonstrates a solid migration by Android users towards the new OS in the wake of major vendors like Samsung and Motorola rolling out the update to their biggest products.

Marshmallow users also continued to grow (1.1%) while almost every other version of Android continued to experience a marginal decline in their size.

Expect these trends to continue as Nougat becomes the norm for most major Android vendors.
