Samsung have shed light on the sales of their latest flagship handset for the first time since it launched.

“Although we cannot provide detailed figures, the sales are going smoothly around the globe. The combined sales already are beyond 5 million units,” a Samsung official said today.

It’s an impressive feat for a handset that launched less than a month ago.

Samsung is expected to sell 20 million units of the Galaxy S8 by the end of the second quarter while annual sales are estimated by analysts to fall between 50 million and 60 million units.
