Apple accounting software subsidiary FileMaker has expanded its footprint in Australia with the launch of a FileMaker Cloud platform as part of its international rollout.

FileMaker Cloud is claimed to give users with minimal development experience the ability to deploy apps in the cloud using a subscription model and no on-premises infrastructure.

The new software runs on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud and is offered through the AWS Marketplace.

FileMaker has established two further cloud offerings via AWS datacentres in Tokyo and Canada.
