Appealing to the budget-conscious consumer, Oppo has released its A73 smartphone which claims to offer flagship specifications – such as FaceID & 16MP front camera – for an affordable $359.

The A73 is marketed as an “entry-level” device, however, brandishes a 16-megapixel front camera (with f/2.2 aperture) and a 13-megapixel rear camera (with f/2.0 aperture). ‘Beautify technology’ coupled with ‘AI Beauty technology’ makes for strong selfie potential.

Oppo’s A73 features “flagship-level facial recognition and fingerprint unlock technology” for added security.

The smartphone is comprised of a  6” FHD+ Full Screen Display and is available in either Black or Gold.

Internally, the A73 sports 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM (expandable up to 256GB with a MicroSD), plus a notable 3200mAh battery.

Michael Tran, Executive Director at OPPO Australia, affirms that the company is a solid value for money offering:

“We pride ourselves on offering Aussies fantastic value for money and exceptional user experiences, and the A73 is no exception. We’ve taken a number of the latest high-end features and packaged them into a stylish, affordable device we know Aussies will love and use”.

The A73 is now available to purchase outright from Optus, Vodafone (Gold only), JB Hi-Fi and Officeworks for $359. It is scheduled to roll out to Woolworths Mobile and The Good Guys in February.
