HTC could be skipping the U12 altogether and releasing its next flagship model titled the U12+, according to reports.
VentureBeat says the reason behind the plus is to put it in competition with the Samsung Galaxy S9+.
Known smartphone leaker, Evan Blass tweeted out an image of the U12+ earlier this morning.

According to the report, developers have had a few issues pushing the release date back from late April to early May.
Last week, the specs for the U12+ leaked saying the future device will have close to a 6-inch display, HTC ImagineRAM up to 6GB, ROM up to 256GB, dual main camera 12mp + 16mp (Sony IMX3xx) and its CPU as Snap Dragon 845. The U12+ will also have Edge Sense 2.0.
