Following continued expansion of its flexible AMOLED production lines, LG Display is tipped to spending more on capital expenditure (‘capex’) this year than rival Samsung Display – notably for the first time since 2012.

According to Taiwanese trade publication, DigiTimesLG Display’s capex increased significantly in 2017, following first and second phase production lines for its flexible AMOLED screens.
