Hisense has launched its new 80-inch L5 Laser TV, a cheaper and smaller version of its 100-inch, US$10,000 offering.

This Laser TV has 400 nit of brightness with a Danish high gain anti-light hard screen, enabling a clear picture display no matter how bright the surrounding light.

Hisense says the large screen can be viewed comfortably without needing to draw the curtains or close the shutters, as the TV is powered by a reflective light source which can be viewed comfortably even when sitting as close as 3 metres.

The L5 TV comes with the new VIDAA AI system which includes features such as automatic sports mode, star recognition and screenshot sharing.

This launch is in correlation with the World Cup in Russia next month as Hisense is an official sponsor.

The L5 Laser TV is priced at US$3,140 available globally now.
