Acer has post a 2.2% lift in 2018 full year revenue, despite a declining global PC market. Gaming has continued to boom, with full year divisional revenues soaring 70% [YoY], and 32% in Q4.

The company’s gaming division encompasses notebooks, desktop PCs and monitors, with Russia and Southeast Asia posting the highest double-digit growth.

Overall, full-year consolidated revenues notched NT$242.57 billion (US$7.87 billion).

For the month of December, revenues jumped 4.1% on-year, but slipped 1.5% on-month.

Acer admits an extended CPU supply shortage impacted its full-year [and December] PC business.

Despite the declining PC market, the company achieved double-digit on-year growth in several subsidiary businesses including its digital displays division, Acer Cyber Security, Weblink International, GadgeTek and AOPEN.
