German supermarket giant, ALDI, has continued to up its consumer electronics arsenal, following the unveiling of a robotic vacuum from Chinese specialist, ECOVACS, for its Saturday March 16 ‘Special Buys’ sale – a brand sold from retailers such as Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi.

Consumers can purchase ECOVACS’ Deebot Ozmo 610 robotic vacuum from ALDI for $299, alongside a one year warranty.

The Deebot Ozmo 610 is currently sold from retailers such as Kogan.com for $449, whilst Appliances Online and Bing Lee list the item as “discontinued” and “currently unavailable.”

The robotic device offers combination vacuum and mopping functionality, coupled with obstacle detection technology and automatic charging.

Like ECOVACS more expensive Deebot Ozmo 900 and 930 – currently sold from JB Hi-Fi and Harvey  Norman – users can remotely trigger cleans, schedule cleaning times, plus monitor its position in the home from their smartphone app.

Battery life is around 1.5 hours, with the robovac featuring a V-shaped brush for a more thorough clean.

Enhancing functionality and convenience, the robovac intelligently returns to its docking station at the end of a clean, or when battery power gets low.

Further information and full specifications are available on ECOVAC’s website here.
