Amazon has launched unlimited online storage for Amazon Drive in Australia, and is offering eligible customers a free three-month trial beginning today.

The unlimited storage plan is available for a single flat fee of $100 per year, with Amazon stating that customers can “easily upload and securely store endless amounts of photos, videos, movies, music and other files”.

Customers can auto-save photos and videos from mobile devices, back-up computer content, and access their content at full resolution from nearly any device.

“Most people have a lifetime of photos from birthdays, holidays, family occasions and everyday moments stored across numerous devices,” David Nenke, director of Amazon Drive, commented. “And they don’t know how many gigabytes of storage they need to back all of them up.

“With the plan we are introducing today, customers don’t need to worry about storage space. They now have an affordable, secure solution to store unlimited amounts of photos, videos, movies, music and other files in one convenient place.”

Amazon states that existing Amazon Drive customers can change their plans by signing into their account and selecting the free unlimited storage trial.
