SHANGHAI: Apple sales in China continued to recover in April, due partly to the release of a cheaper iPhone.

It’s an extraordinary recovery since, at the height of the coronavirus outbreak in China, iPhone sales dropped a staggering 60 percent year-on-year as the company closed stores.

According to Cinno Research, Apple sold 3.9 million iPhones in China in April, a 160 percent increase from March, when it sold just 1.5 million.
