Alcatel has revamped its entry-level 1-Series portfolio, with the unveiling of its 2019 Alcatel 1X and Alactel 1C smartphone, featuring TCL-made FullView display.

Whilst Australian pricing and availability is yet to be confirmed, the current Alcatel 1 Series is priced under $200.

Consensus is, the 2019 series will be priced similarly as Alcatel seeks to maintain its dominance in the local sub-$200 phone market.

The new Alcatel 1X claims to provide one of the most compelling screen offerings in the entry-level market, featuring a 5.5-inch (18:9) FullView Display.

A new organic finish provides a textured feel that is slip and scratch resistant.

The device’s camera will provide real-time bokeh, coupled with a secondary depth-sensing lens and post-editing software.

The new Alcatel 1C – powered by Android Oreo (Go Edition) – features a 5-inch (18:9) FullView Display with a non-slip textured finish also.

Photo capture options such as Beautification mode and Instant collage are also available.
