China’s three state-owned wireless carriers have announced they will launch 5G commercially from the beginning of next month, well ahead of schedule.

The carriers had planned to introduce the services next year, then accelerated the rollout as the US imposed a boycott on Huawei.

More than 10 million subscribers have pre-registered to take advantage of the much faster service.
