Acer posted revenue for the third quarter at A$2.9 billion up 7.8 percent year-on-year and 11.7 percent sequentially, on strong shipments for its gaming and Chromebook product lines.

In Q3, Acer said it saw year-on-year revenue growth across all three market regions (Pan-America, EMEA, and Pan-Asia Pacific), with outstanding sales in the US, Russia, and South-East Asia in the first nine months of the year.

Acer said its gaming and Chromebook lines have been key contributors to the growth. The gaming line grew by 93 percent on year during the nine-month period from January-September 2018, and increased by 74 percent on year in the third-quarter of 2018.

The company said its Chromebook sales grew by 30 percent on year during January-September, and rose by 49 percent on year in the third quarter.
