When the police search Google they come armed with a warrant, but the search giant is hitting back, charging them up to US$245 for complying.

Google says it is facing an increasing number of requests for its users’ information and it’s costing the tech company time and money. It began charging law enforcement agencies year for legal demands seeking data such as emails, location tracking information and search queries.

Google’s fees range from $45 for a subpoena and $60 for a wiretap to $245 for a search warrant. Presumably the wallopers can pay up using Google Pay.
