D-Link has launched a new Wi-Fi surveillance camera which uses AI edge-based person detection to recognise human motion, reducing the risk of false alarms.
The DCS-8302LH is equipped with Full HD 1080p clarity, a built-in microphone, speaker and support for Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
It is also weather resistant and can be suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation, with Wi-Fi support and a wide operating temperature tolerance.
Ethernet is also built-in for the option of a wired connection.

D-Link says the AI person detection can intelligently identify human motion so users receive relevant detection notifications and less false alarms when the ‘intruder’ is wind or a tree branch.
“D-Link’s newest Full HD Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera lets you easily monitor what is happening in and outside homes as well as small offices or shop,” D-Link said in a press release.
“Whether it’s for keeping a closer eye on the children and pets, or for catching intruders and shoplifters, the DCS-8302LH is an ideal surveillance solution.”
The DCS-8302LH Full HD Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera is available now from www.dlink.com.au (RRP AUD$199.95), www.dlink.co.nz (RRP NZ$249.99) and from all authorised D-Link partners and retailers in both countries.
