Fitbit has admitted there is an issue affecting Android user’s devices showing battery drainage and downloading big chunks of data.
Several Fitbit users complained on company’s community forums with one user saying the app used 3.5GB of data in July and also drained his battery ‘faster than he could charge it’.
Another user noted the app taking between 2-2.5GB of data in a month.
A representative for Fitbit spoke Wearable saying, “Fitbit is committed to delivering the best possible experience for our users. We are aware of the reported issue and an update to our Android app will be rolled out to users tomorrow, 11 July. We believe this will address any remaining concerns related to this issue.”
Fitbit has released a new update version 2.74.2 which they the company says, ‘[The new update] we believe addresses any remaining concerns related to this issue. Please update the Fitbit app as soon as possible.’
