Amazon Australia has launched Amazon Pet Supplies, a category including hundreds of thousands of products from Australia’s best known pet brands. It includes accessories, beds, carriers and travel products, grooming products, toys, care items as well as food.

Launch brands include Hill’s Science Diet, Whiskas, Frontline, My Dog, Sausage Dog Central and Purina. The launch of pets as a category on top of the 24 existing categories now gives Australian consumers access to over 60 million products.

As part of its launch, Amazon has a competition to find the Face of Amazon Pet Supplies. Owners of cats, dogs, horses, goats, pigs, fish and amphibians, small furry animals, reptiles, birds and more are invited to post pictures to Instagram with the #AmazonPetsAu and on Amazon.com.au’s Facebook page.

The competition goes live today and runs until 23.59 AEDT on Friday, 19 October.The winner gets a professional photography shoot and a year’s supply of Hill’s Science Diet pet food.
