It’s never been particularly wallet-draining, but now Netflix is offering its streaming TV service for free. It’s even completely void of advertising.
So where do you sign up? Kenya. The East African country is the first place this new no-cost tier is going to operate, and even then there are some catches.
For a start, anyone signing up will only be able to access about a quarter of the catalogue. But that’s still a lot for free – including hits like Money Heist and Blood & Water.
Also, it’s only available on Android devices, so it won’t work on a TV, iPad or iPhone.
Netflix say they hope the free subscription will entice people who enjoy it to sign up for the whole paid deal so they can enjoy the platform more fully.
