Google has announced that its smart voice assistant, Google Assistant, will soon be available on tablet devices and some older Android smartphones.

From today, Google Assistant will start rolling out to Android phones who are running Lollipop i.e. Android 5.0.

Unfortunately, only tablets which are running Android 6.0 and above will receive Google Assistant.

Users should soon receive a notification prompting them to accept:

Google Assistant will enable users to ask questions, query the weather, integrate with other smart devices within your household and a suite more.

After the forthcoming rollout, Google assistant will reportedly be available to almost 79.3% of users. Tablet users are said to represent 53.1% of users.
