Alphabet says its one-year-old cybersecurity company, Chronicle, will be absorbed by its Google Cloud division, because customers have been seeking a fully integrated offering.

Chronicle said that the malware analysis and security threat investigation tools its unit has been pitching to large corporations are complementary to the security tools offered by Google’s cloud computing business.
