Google parent company Alphabet has reported YouTube and cloud revenue for the first time and has beaten earnings estimates for Q4.

Alphabet revenue was US$46.08 billion with traffic acquisition costs, and payments made by Internet search engines to affiliates coming in at $8.50 billion.

YouTube ads generated $15.15 billion in revenue in 2019, compared with $11.16 billion on year and $4.72 billion in Q4 alone.

Google’s cloud business generated $8.92 billion in revenue in 2019, compared with 2018 fiscal year revenue of $5.84 billion. Advertising revenue, which still makes up the vast majority of Alphabet’s revenues, hit $37.93 billion in Q4.

Revenue from another segment referred to as “Other Bets”, which includes self-driving car business Waymo, came in at $172 million.
