Long-time Hisense Australia Managing Director, Kevin Ke, has jumped ship to Scandinavian-designed home appliance manufacturer, ASKO, replacing Crt Prasnikar.

Mr Ke took the reigns last month, after over ten years leading Hisense Australia.

The move will keep Ke within the Hisense Group of Companies, which also owns Asko.

Disclosed to his LinkedIn, Mr Ke claims to have successfully grown the Hisense brand from “0 to be No. 1 in the Australian refrigerator market within 7.5 years.”

Similarly, Ke claims to have successfully grown the Hisense brand from “0 to be No.1 in the Australian TV market within 8 years.”

With a Masters of Business Administration from UNSW Business School, Mr Ke boasts over twenty years experience across operations, financial and supply chain management, notably “under [a] multicultural environment.”

Under Ke’s leadership, ASKO has committed to retain its premium market positioning, and will continue operating independently of its parent.

ASKO Australia’s head office is based in Victoria, with products ranged in over 600 local retailers.
