For discerning shoppers unsure of how a new appliance will look in their home, Hisense Australia has developed an innovative AR app which enables users to virtually place a product in their space.

Hisense promises that “ultra-realistic 3D” versions of its televisions, sound bars, refrigerators, washing machines and more are available to view in the Hisense Home AR app.

The products are true to scale and will allow users to see how the products fit into their current decor via augmented reality.

The app also allows users to take a photograph of the AR products placed in their home and share to friends, partner, or family member via social media.

All product information and specifications are downloadable via the Hisense Home AR app as well.

However, the app lacks any purchasing capability, instead, once consumers find a product they are interested in, they can be directed to their nearest Hisense dealer.

The app is free to download from both the Apple App Store and Google Play store.
