Harman-owned JBL has released the latest reiteration of its award-winning ‘Flip’ portable speaker line, with the new ‘Flip 5’ landing in stores today for A$149.99.

Despite its compact size, the Flip 5 pledges bigger sound with a longer lasting battery life (4,800mAh, up to 12 hours).

Unlike its predecessors, the speaker can connect to “hundreds” of other Flip 5 speakers via Bluetooth for an immersive party experience.

A new USB-C charging port, complements increased cone area and excursion for magnified ‘JBL signature sound’.

The speaker’s acoustic design with racetrack shaped driver seeks to deliver crisper sound and deeper bass.

The durable ‘lifeproof’ product is IPX7 waterproof, with a rubber housing and sturdy build.

“Thanks to its amazing sound, enhanced features and approachable price point, the Flip Series has always been a popular option for consumers, so we’re excited to bring them the next generation with the JBL Flip 5,” claims Marcus Fry, Brand Activation Director of AUNZ at HARMAN.

The new JBL Flip 5 will be available in five colours including Dusty Pink and Fiesta Red.
