The Nokia 9 PureView was a flagship with high expectations that failed to ultimately failed to deliver.

The greatest letdown the phone delivered was the unreliable performance of the Light optical technology camera.

But towards the beginning of the month, rumours began to surface about the Nokia 9’s successor to incorporate a Snapdragon 865 chipset and is expected to make its debut around this September.

And now, new reports about the upcoming device which is expected to be revealed as the Nokia 9.2 PureView, has come to light.

According to the new leak, HMD will is set to drop the Light camera technology and will instead opt for a more conventional approach. The leak did not mention specifics about the new camera technology.

But pricing was mentioned – it’s expected the new Nokia 9.2 PureView will be priced in the lower range at around $660 – similar to the Nokia 8 model.

In terms of hardware, the report suggests a bezel-less display with a 32 or 48MP camera alongside a 3.5mm headphone jack and wireless charging.

There have been no reports on official comments on when the Nokia 9.2 PureView will be released to the market.
