It seems LG is further pursuing its development of rollable OLED TVs, following a recent trademark application to Korea’s KIPRIS, revealing a new brand name ‘LG ROLED’.

LetsGoDigital first noticed the trademark application submitted to Korea’s Intellectual Property Rights Information Service.

The news comes after LG displayed a 65-inch rollable TV at CES 2018. The large screen OLED TV easily rolls up, offering better portability. Whilst the item on display was a prototype, LG’s recent trademark may imply the brand is working towards commercialisation.

LG ROLED falls under ‘Classification 9’ which reportedly includes; “3D display panels, OLED panels, display devices, roll-up display panels, roll-up televisions, smartphones, computers and televisions”.

Many market commentators predict LG will further unveil its ROLED line at IFA 2018.
