The upcoming LG flagship smartphone will have a new name, The LG G7 ThinQ instead of the G7.

The news comes from known smartphone leaker, Evan Blass who tweeted the following.

The ThinQ addition to the name is referencing its AI features which were also apparent on the V30 ThinQ shown at MWC last month. Blass says it will be equipped with scene recognition features and Google Assistant commands. The G7 ThinQ will also have an iPhone X notch.

Another Twitter user, Riccilo says the new phone should be released in June.

Earlier this year LG announced it would no longer be releasing smartphones annually and would be switching to an ‘as needed’ basis.

So this could be the last smartphone from LG punters could see in a while.
