Amazon is reportedly set to unveil new Echo-branded smart home devices on September 24, with a hardware event tipped to debut several Alexa-supported products.

Reported by The Verge, invitations sent to the US media outlet tease “some news” from Amazon’s Devices and Services team. The invite-only event is not expected to be LIVE streamed for the public.

Consensus is Amazon will use the event to unveil new smart speakers and smart displays. It comes after the tech giant launched over ten new smart products around this time last year, including an Alexa-supported oven, new Echo Show and Echo Studio speaker.

The news follows a major upgrade of the Amazon Alexa for Android and iOS app – a focal feature of its smart home ecosystem.
